Facebook Curse

I don't know what should I write for the 'mukadimah' but.. let's just drift to the points I'm going to write. I'm gonna write about Facebook. Clearly I'm not a professor or even a scientist but I too, do make my own research which I can say, based on my own observation and few reading.

Why did I started to be scared of Facebook?

1. You Log In for Nothing.
You log in into your account, manage with your notifications, stalk few profiles, approve request and then, blank. You're wandering around and you click the icon Home for few times to see any new updates from no one. In fact, you got nothing to do with others' status but you keep on staring blankly on your Home and scroll down the cursor non-stop. You wouldn't even know what you're actually doing. See? You're addicted for nothing.

2. Troublemaker.
There are cases such as divorcement, employer firing employees that are related to Facebook. Imagine a wife find out her husband posting any heart-breaking post on another woman's Wall, isn't it going to lead to a divorcement? Or even an employee wrote "I hate my &%$@ boss because he is a stupid bald @#$% and I've had enough with him". Then suddenly, the employer read the status and commented "You're fired". So easy to lose the job right? You're even risking your relationship through Facebook.

3. Addiction
According to a research, most British prefer Facebook than any other stuff such as foods, spouses, gadgets or even sex (Dude it's Britain, what do you expect?). Even a mother lost her baby just because she was too busy with her Facebook that she didn't realize her baby was starving. How cruel is that? Ok now let's put your shoes into this story. Have you ever wonder whether is there any day that you didn't go online? I bet you'll feel uncomfortable as if you're naked when you didn't have the chance to go online.

4. Privacy Invasion
Approximately, there are 6 million Facebook users from all over the world. Imagine you posted a picture of you, so sexy and attractive and tadaa, 5 999 999 other users can see you. Well, this is not such a big problem if you love attention aite? But remember, there is no such privacy when you're using Facebook.

* * *

These are few ways which I think we all should know.

1. Do Not Tell About Your Location.
Even though you live in a big district that you think it's not easy for people to track you down, still, you can't tell anybody about where you live, where you are currently at or even your telephone number. E.g, "I'm having fun at Pavilion!" Ok you might expect there will be no such crime at shopping complex but who knows? I think your nation or country is more than enough for an information.

2. Do Not Be Too Attractive.
Avoid posting too many pictures of you, especially full-image of yourself from top to toe. Technology nowadays can transform a decent girl to a slut when Photoshop is legal for anyone. Make sure your pictures are not TOO CLEAR, not TOO SEXY and not TOO ATTRACTIVE as they may lead to exploitation. Remember! There is no such privacy on Facebook.

3. Do Not Touch On Sensitive Issues or Provocation or Stupid Status.
Facebook is public. Don't raise any issues that may bring to any arguments. Avoid telling every single thing that is happening around you, for example "I'm fat because I'm eating GCB!" as it may reveals your own stupidity. Not all users have good manners so if you don't like to receive heart-breaking responses, be a little bit brainy when posting status, will you?

4. Change Your Password Frequently
This is to protect your account from being hacked. Change your password once in 2 or 3 months.

and finally, the most effective way to protect yourself from any problem is

DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT AND START FACING YOUR BOOKS
:)

p/s : Emy, I think I prefer Avril Lavigne's version of Wish You Were Here.
More melancholic, which suits me better hahahaha :)
